How and when do I trim my roots? 🎥

As seedlings mature, they can develop extensive root systems inside of the Farmstand. These can block or divert water as well as clog your pump if they are not maintained. Typically, roots only need to be trimmed if seedlings have been growing for more than 6-8 weeks. It is not necessary to trim your plants’ roots on a weekly basis. You can trim your plants’ roots by cutting off no more than ⅓ of the root system. Plants may get stressed if too much root mass is removed so remember, less is more!
